My name is Merle Mulleman-Waterman. I'm a award winning creative. Currently based in Amsterdam.

“Don't forget to play”

My passion for design started early, I always walked around with a scissor in my hand and made sure that no paper was safe. My upstairs neighbour, who was a elementary teacher, had a room only for crafting and I loved it there.

My childhood home was very artistic decorated. It had a Modern Italian design look. My mother is a garden architect and porcelain tile painter and father a chemical engineer, I was always keen to help them while they were inventing new paint in the lab at our house. During the weekends we stayed in our second home, a cabin in the woods. Where I started to develop a passion for nature.

When I was 10 years old I saw an ad from Heineken in the papers, it was about the synfication serie V. The text on the ad said; ‘ALS ZE HET MAAR BIJ WATER LATEN’ ( IF THEY WILL STICK BY THE WATER). And in that moment I realized I wanted to be in advertising and branding.

As a creative my biggest passion is creating ideas for brands.
It doesn’t matter if it’s an identity, campaigns, advertising, webdesign or packaging, working close with the client by following my intuition, I can create a unique solution that fits the client.
Working with clients to develop strong concept design and strategic solutions.
Specialties: brand identity, advertising, packaging graphics, physical pack design, webdesign, activation, retail design, social media strategy, branded content and lead and inspire a team.

As a creative director for MMDesign, I brought in big international clients and won multiple creative awards. My 24/7 dedication for design will bring clients further at speed and scale. And I always stay true to being original and smart, to being F* fabulous. Pure passion for craftsmanship, focusing on consistency and being a little
mysterious now and then. I believe this is the way to strengthen and improve clients in a meaningful way. I am very curious, I like to be challenged and open to new things, especially when it comes to new technologies.
